✓Rental Requirements & Eligibility

To ensure the safety of all participants and protect our equipment, we have established the following requirements:

  • Age Requirement: Must be 19+ years old with valid government-issued photo ID
  • Physical Capability: Must be physically capable of participating in water sports activities
  • Sobriety: Must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances
  • Documentation: Valid government-issued photo ID required for verification
  • Waiver: Complete liability waiver must be signed before equipment pickup

Additional Fees

Damage deposits do not limit your liability. You remain fully responsible for all damage, loss, or theft of equipment, including full replacement costs if damage exceeds the deposit amount, complete replacement value for lost or stolen items, and any additional repair costs from misuse or negligence.

We operate as an online rental service only - there is no physical store location. All bookings and arrangements are made online, with equipment pickup at the designated location.

🔄Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and accommodating while protecting our business.

✅ Flexible Cancellations

24+ hours notice: Full refund or reschedule at no cost

âš ī¸ Late Cancellations

Less than 24 hours: 50% refund or reschedule at no cost

đŸŒ¤ī¸ Weather-Related Cancellations

If weather conditions are unsafe for paddleboarding, we'll reschedule at no additional cost or provide a full refund.

âš ī¸Safety Warning & Risk Acknowledgment

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING

Water sports can be very dangerous and physically demanding. Participation may involve serious injury or death. By renting our equipment, you acknowledge these risks and accept full responsibility for your safety.

Recognized Risks Include:

  • Accidents during travel and access to water
  • Slips, trips, and falls on uneven terrain
  • Board capsizing from waves, currents, or wind
  • Collisions with obstacles or other watercraft
  • Drowning, hypothermia, or cold water exposure
  • Weather hazards and sudden storms
  • Equipment failure or malfunction
  • Limited communication or delayed rescue

📝 Complete Waiver Required

This overview does not constitute a legal waiver. A comprehensive liability waiver and rental agreement must be signed in person before equipment pickup. The full legal document will be presented at rental time.

📋Rental Terms & Conditions

Equipment Condition & Use

Equipment is provided "as is" without warranty. You assume full responsibility for care, custody, and control from handoff until return. Equipment must be returned in substantially the same condition as received.

Safety Obligations

  • Wear a properly fitted PFD at all times while on the water
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards
  • Only operate equipment in conditions matching your experience level
  • Monitor weather conditions and avoid hazardous situations

Prohibited Activities

  • Allowing minors to use equipment without adult supervision
  • Using equipment while impaired by alcohol or drugs
  • Subleasing or transferring equipment to third parties
  • Using equipment for commercial purposes

âš–ī¸Liability Release & Indemnification

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By renting our equipment, you expressly release and discharge VanSUP Rental, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to your use of the equipment, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death.

Your Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others
  • Responsibility for any damage, loss, or theft of equipment
  • Responsibility for medical costs, rescue expenses, or other costs
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and safety regulations

Insurance & Coverage

We do not provide accident, health, or liability insurance. You are responsible for your own medical costs, rescue expenses, or any other costs that may arise during your rental period. We recommend obtaining appropriate insurance coverage for your activities.
